Journey for Change

For most, change doesn’t happen easily or because of one or two simple decisions. Rather, change is a series of decisions over time that result in greater health, security, and well-being. Ultimately, the journey for change is a process that requires support, encouragement, and opportunity.

In September 2021, we hosted our first annual Journey for Change. Over 200 people showed up to walk, run, and ride to raise awareness about rural homelessness, the increasing problem of people lacking basic food security and to support the work that The Family Central is doing to help.

This incredible community raised over $90,000 and because of that The Family Central was able to ensure all their bills would be paid in 2022 as well as expand staffing to include health care services, addiction supports, a community chaplain, and an expansion of the food security program.
